Portfolio & Market Access Analyst – Mississauga

Job Summary

This position plays a key role in supporting the Business Development and Market Access activities by providing insights and analysis into current market conditions and trends with regards to pipeline products, pricing and reimbursement, customers and competition. The position requires in depth analysis of the market to identify and quantify opportunities to grow the pipeline.

The position also provides support to Sales and Marketing by supplying forecast models and sales analytics to assist in building a robust forecast planning process.

Job Specifications

Responsible for competitive market analysis that assesses commercial, legal, regulatory, and competitive landscapes for potential pipeline products.

• Create forecasts and various financial analyses including long-term projected revenues and Financial Business Cases.

• Use market research skills to compile product specific data and market trends, especially related to future pipeline opportunities.

• Provide support to the Commercial team to develop a robust sales forecasting model and provides ongoing analytical support for input into sales forecast planning.

• Prepare monthly sales forecasting adherence reports to communicate forecast accuracy results to management.

• Manage public/private payers pricing policies and support reimbursement strategy to optimize Specialty product provincial listings.

• Maintains proficiency in all available research tools and sources, including NOC and DPD sites, GSUR List, IQVIA, Newport, DailyMed, FDA Orange Book, Drugs@FDA, EMEA sites, online news sources, and internal data sources and programs.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure proper alignment and implementation of processes.

• Manages projects as required.

• Assists in preparing standardized and ad-hoc reports.

• Assists and/or creates presentations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Pharmacy/Science, or a similar degree; advanced degree in business management or science a plus.

• Solid understanding of the Canadian Pharmaceutical market-preferably Specialty Generics.

• Strong working knowledge of Canadian Market Access reimbursement regulations and processes.

• Strong proficiency in understanding and interpreting medical and scientific information.

• Proven quantitative, qualitative, analytical reasoning and communication skills.

• Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills required; Power-Point proficiency preferred.

• General analytical report creation, forecasting and financial modeling knowledge required.

• IQVIA and other pharmaceutical database knowledge preferred (Newport, Health Canada and FDA databases)

• Ability to lead complex assignments requiring integration of multiple disciplines.

• Must be highly proactive, strong ability to prioritize, and capable of multi-tasking to a very high degree
